I came to CCTC from an Agency that I was with for a little over a year. Making the switch was scary at first but only after a few days, I was so glad I made the change. Laurie and Angelina are very welcoming and kind people. They both truly care about the agents and are always ready to help with whatever anyone needs. This is not a “throw to the wolves” type of company. Before I joined CCTC I taught myself everything I knew. I did not have anyone to turn to when I needed help with a destination or needed advice in a certain situation. I was strictly on my own. I thought this was normal since this was “MY” business. D-School helped me to find my way as a travel agent! I could not imagine embarking on this business without the tools that the program provides. From the welcome call, to having tasks/homework each week really kept me focused on the steps it takes to become successful in this business. If I wanted to get ahead of myself, Angelina always grounded me and said that will be discussed in future weeks. And now looking back, I understand why the material was presented in the manner it was- it was all to build on each step and area of the travel world. It made me dig deep within myself to find what nitsch I wanted to focus on. The EZINE piece was something I have never done before and it has become easier to write them as time goes on. I am brand new to the travel industry and have learned so much from Laurie and Angelina in the short time I've been at Cupcake Castles Travel Company. Going through the D School program was a worthwhile investment for me for so many reasons. I came to CCTC almost 2 years ago completely new to the travel planning profession. I came with a wealth of Disney knowledge and an eagerness to launch a successful and thriving travel business, but I knew that I needed a lot of guidance and training in the way of non-Disney travel, marketing, and all of the other aspects of travel planning that I didn't have knowledge of yet. D-School provided a foundation for my business by providing me with exercises and tools that I could implement into my business as I built it. I was pushed out of my comfort zone, and forced to challenge myself on a daily basis.
